Connect your assistant

Use Dwelln from Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Muse or any other assistant that can connect to an MCP server. Ask what's due, add a task or mark work done, and your assistant saves it straight to your home.

The server address for every assistant: https://api.dwelln.app/mcp

Claude

Dwelln is listed in Claude’s connector directory, so you can add it with one tap.

  1. Open Dwelln in Claude’s connector directory (the badge above).
  2. Tap Connect.
  3. Sign in to Dwelln and allow access.

ChatGPT

  1. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, press + and choose Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Dwelln, enter https://api.dwelln.app/mcp as the server URL and keep OAuth for authentication.
  3. Tick I understand and want to continue, press Create as a plugin, then Continue to Dwelln. Sign in to Dwelln and allow access.

ChatGPT adds Dwelln in developer mode ("dev mode"): custom MCP servers need developer mode, on the ChatGPT plans that offer it.

Gemini

On the Gemini website, go to Settings → Connected Apps → Custom apps → Add a custom app and enter https://api.dwelln.app/mcp, then sign in to Dwelln and allow access.

Muse

  1. In a Muse chat, ask: “Connect my home maintenance app Dwelln as a custom connector. It's an MCP server at https://api.dwelln.app/mcp and it signs in with OAuth.”
  2. Press Connect on the card Muse shows, then Connect again on Muse's custom connector notice.
  3. Sign in to Dwelln and press Allow access.
  4. When Muse asks to share information with api.dwelln.app, choose Always allow. With Allow once, Muse asks again for every request.

Any other assistant

Any assistant or app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in can connect. Add https://api.dwelln.app/mcp as a remote MCP server, then sign in to Dwelln and allow access.

What your assistant can do

  • Help you add your home's tasks when you're setting up
  • Find tasks, and tell you what's coming up
  • Show who changed which task, and when
  • Add a task, rename it, or change its due date or how often it repeats
  • Mark a task done, or not done yet
  • Delete a task
  • Add a note or a photo to a task

It can't delete your account or a home.

Your data

Your assistant can see the homes and maintenance tasks your Dwelln account can access. You can disconnect in your assistant's settings. Read our Privacy Policy.
